weekend update

There have been a lot of things going on this weekend. Busy, but fun! Now it is Monday, things have started to slow down...but....IT SNOWED last night! Please make it stop! It looks like a fresh winter morning! I am so over the snow!

Friday...

It was my moms birthday and she came over to help me finish a blanket I am making for a custom order. Thanks mom! Afterwards we had her and dad over for a birthday dinner and some time with the little one!

Saturday...

Taylor and I went to SLC to have our Pony Party! It has been in the making since January, and we finally did it. It was good to get together with teacher friends. We missed all of you who couldn't come, but we will try again. I have made some great friends from my teaching days and I love that we all try to keep in touch! Thanks ladies!

Sunday...

It was Mother's Day of course! I woke up to find a big box on the counter from Eric. He surprised me because I really didn't think he would get me anything big...you know, the money thing! Anyway, Taylor and I opened it up and this is what I found....

Yup! I don't have to save for it! Eric said he had a moment of weakness and bought it! Thank goodness for that moment of weakness. I have already taken many photos, still learning. But they are so good! I fear I will be taking more pictures than I was before and random things and random times. Thanks honey! I love it!

Here are some pics from the NEW camera!

could those eyes get any bigger and bluer?

Sunday we also had dinner at my Aunt & Uncles! Yummy food, and great family! I love Sunday dinners! We were also able to take to Eric's mom/Grandma Connie! She loves to see Taylor and how big she is! Happy Mother's Day Connie! And we went over to my parents house to talk to Elder/Uncle/Brother Dave! It was good to hear from him and he sounds like that same ol' dave. He gets home in August and we can't wait for him to meet his new niece and nephew! The kids are goin' to love him!

This Mother's Day is my first as a "real" mom! Last year I was prego over the day, but this year it is official, and I am so grateful for a husband who goes out to work and provides for our little family so I can be home! I loved my job as a teacher but have always known I couldn't do both. Both jobs are very demanding and I never wanted to let one get neglected. So thanks Eric, for making it possible for me to raise our children. I love being a mom and everything that comes with it! I have the best little girl ever, so it makes my job SO easy! How could you refuse this face...

SNOW!?!?!? seriously...I don't know if I can move back there. It is 77* and a beautiful day to spend out in the backyard playing ball.
way to go on the camera, Eric. i bet he wouldn't have bought it if he knew he would be your photography subject all of the time. this means there better be more shots of that blue-eyed girl more often. enjoy!

Sorry about the snow...I'm so over this weather too. I feel like I've been saying that for months! You must be so excited about your new camera. So funny that you said you were getting a jogging stroller this week, so are we. When I read your comment I had just been looking online at them!! Sorry I missed the Pony party. I really wanted to come. I'll definitely be at the next one! Cute pics of everyone, though!

Isn't it amazing how their can be crappy light in the room and you take the pic and it still turns out amazing. We will have to get together sometime when we are in town and do a photo shoot with our cool cameras. We are going up to WA for the summer - you guys should come visit!
