...something...

...something to make...

As I get into starting my own business I find
myself surfing the internet everyday from
something new to make. I have so many ideas and
so little time, and money! I am so glad Eric has
allowed me to invest in this idea and hopefully we will sell
a bunch of things at the upcoming craft fair.
I am always looking for ideas, so if you have any, please share!

...something to hear...

My friend Cianne, did a post like this the other day
about her favorite noise, and it got me thinking.
Of course my favorites change from time to time, but at
the moment, my favorite noise would have to be
listening to taylor play in her crib from the monitor.
Her jibber, jabber, makes me laugh when I am sewing
next door to her or cooking dinner. She
makes the funniest noises and really
enjoys having "down time" in her crib.

...something fun...

I always find blogs where they have giveaways,
and I anxiously await to see if I win anything.
Well, I DID! Nothing too exciting, but I WON! It is
called Teething Bling, and it is jewelry for mom,
teething toy for baby! I thought it would be fun to try,
because Taylor is in the beginning stages of teething.
I will let you know how is goes and
if you need to get yourself one too.

...something new...

I have had many people ask me for help when it
comes to designing their blogs. I enjoy helping
and it has been fun to play around with other people's blogs.
But it can be difficult trying to explain how to
do it over the phone. So I have started a blog where it will walk
you through the basics of making your blog "cute"
as people call it. It is a work in progress and if
I ever find the time, I will add tips and tricks
to further make your blog look better.

...something i love...

FABRIC!
I love to go to quilt shops and walk around looking
at all the fabric choices. I can't seem to get a enough of it.

...something delicious...

Eric and I can't get enough of the Mexican restaurant, Tarahumara.
You have heard me mention it before, but we seem to be
finding our selvesthere every weekend. And every time
we get the samething, steak fajitas. SO GOOD!
Last weekend wewent with my friend Christie,
and her husband Scott.
I hope they liked it as much as we did.
We will probably be there this Saturday...mom and dad???

...something interesting...

I think Eric and I just signed ourselves up to
be on a coed softball league. Our friends Jenni and Bentley
called us up yesterday and we told them we would
think about it. But I got an email saying bentley
talked to eric and he was in, and Eric got a phone call from bentley
saying I was in...all before we even talked to each other. :)
Good one bentley...you got us!
Can't say we will make every game, but it sounds fun.

...something i hate...

WIND!! The weather was so nice yesterday and today
it is freezing again. Supposed to be a storm.
Well, last night it was nothing but WIND!!!
I hate wind! It was so loud it would make the doors rattle,
the windows clank, and of course woke me up
out of a dead sleep. Plus, we usually keep the
window open because we like the cold, but
I couldn't handle it so it was hot in the room.
I even made eric mad because I kept fiddling with things to
make the noise stop. Eventually, I got up
at 3:30 am and went to watch t.v. UGG!

...something i want...

It seems every mom these days has a nice camera.
I like my camera and it it great for toting around.
But I always love the pictures the "nice" cameras take.
But I don't want to have to haul around a big camera all the time.
So if there is a in between camera, I want it. I have heard of a few,
but have no idea what is a good one.
To go along with that, I want Photoshop, and a day at the spa!
hint, hint: mothers day, eric!

...something to ponder...

Go private, or not to go private! That seems to be the
question these days. My sister put a map on her blog
to see where hits were coming from so I thought I
would do the same. So far I don't see any areas I don't recognize.
But my sister got some people to confess
they were "blog lurkers"(nothing wrong with it, we all do it)
and in turn she has connected with more people.
So if you are one of our "blog lurkers" it would
be fun to reveal yourself.

Hi Jonna,

It's Amy McQuay here! I found your blog a few weeks ago. My aunt Jana recently told me that Patrick Barnes is going to law school at Harvard, where I am also in grad school. So, I thought I might try to contact him and get together. When I was looking for him on Facebook, I found you - then googled ya and found your awesome blog! Congratulations on your adorable family! Taylor is such a cutie! I can't get over those BIG blue eyes! I have also really been admiring all the baby gear you have been making! My husband and I are in the early planning stages and will probably start trying to get pregnant next year sometime. So, I will definitely be shopping your Etsy page when we finally decide to take the parenthood plunge! I've really enjoyed reading your blog these past few weeks. I hope you don't mind. I've peeked in on your sisters blog as well, I admit it. So, you can tell her that I am the cyber stalker in Massachusetts, but I promise I'm harmless. I just enjoy her takes on being a mom and that sort of thing. I'll look forward to your blogging blog. I keep saying I am going to try to figure this thing out and get my own going!

Best,
Amy

where to start....
you are so talented and your stuff is amazing and will sell out for sure. looking forward to coming up and helping you and eating TARAHUMARA everyday!

second, I hate the wind also. I think we get it worse than you...it is the sign the fall and spring are upon us and it seems to last the entire season. and it makes everything so dusty!

third,I love my digital SLR but it can be a pain to haul around, esp with my new lens I just got for my birthday. I know there are some models out there that are point/shoot cameras with a better zooming capability/megapixels for less money. Ask my hubby about that one. Photoshop elements does a fine job for way less money.

Let's do a massage day together!

P.S. Jack wants to see pics of Tay-Tay...he is missing her!

wow, that was long!

I loved reading this post; so informative. I have had the same "go private, not to go private" dilemma. I have had so many people find me and me them through open blogs that I otherwise would have not have found so I am hesitant to go private. But than again, safety is always a top priority. Hmmm, something to think about.

P.S. I can't wait to see you, Beth, and Heidi tomorrow. I am so sorry that I couldn't help more with the car situation. Did you and Beth get something worked out?

I have to admit that I do look at your cute blog. I am Karen Montgomery's sister. I also look at your sister's blog. So, I am the Arizona blog stalker just in case that came up on your tracker. You guys have really cute kids and I really enjoy reading about what other mothers are doing with their days. No psycho here, just a stay at home mom that likes to see pictures of other's cute kids and get ideas for what things I can do with my own. Thanks,
Jennifer Rees

Jonna, don't let her fool you, my sister is totally psycho!!! Just kidding! We both love your cute blog! I debate about public/private, but I think I'll stay public for now. I love your hint hint to Eric for Mother's Day! I've already been hinting for mother's day gifts and I've only been a mother for 2 weeks!! It was so great to see you yesterday. Thanks for making the drive to meet Paige!!

Jonna,

I just talked to your husband and he has some amazing advice. He said that the best way to get a camera and a massage is to start saving your money. I thought that was a wonderful idea. You are so lucky to live with someone who has all the great ideas.

The blogger stalker in a place far, far away.

I just learned some new things about you. That teething bling looks like fun.

anon is hil-a-rious! things like massages and camera's should be gifts/token of our husband's appreciation for all the hard work(and labor) we endure.

p.s. i love that everyone reads our pages like we are twins or something (Amy M*...what a blast from the past!). I think I'll keep it public...I've had a lot of fun connecting with people this way and if I go private, I may loose that. Like JJ told me, the crazy people will find you no matter what.

Sorry we missed you this weekend. Nate was busy all weekend in the basement. We would still love to get together. Maybe we could meet halfway in SLC. I am also addicted to the cute fabric. It's like scrapbbooking.
