getting ready

not only am I trying to get ready for baby boy to come,
but taylor is also; practicing nurturing skills on all her animals and babies.
It is funny how they naturally start to play "mom."

she loves to:
-hug and kiss them
-rock them
-put them down for a nap
-feed them
-read to them
-change their diapers and put medicine on

...she is getting ready for baby brother...

a side note...this is how clean up time goes around here lately...

i am so tired of bending over, and taylor only does so much.
while i was away eric did a great job of teaching her to clean up,
but of course when the mess is this big...she needs a little help.
and i refuse to...so it stays like this most of the time!
don't judge me:)

...walking update...
taylor will do it here and there
likes to be followed or chased.
she doesn't like to walk on the tile very much,
and is more confident on the carpet.
we have learned from the past
that taylor has a mind of her own
and it takes her a long time to
develop a habit.
so we are giving her space,
and not pressuring her too much.

today she walked a ton...so proud.
we are trying to get her to use things
to help her up, but right now,
it is only my hand, and certain poles
in the house.

Anyone who is a mom knows not to judge messes! I use to get so frustrated feeling like I was always picking up! Now I do it before naps and bedtime and it is a mess the rest of the time! Since Lincoln started walking the mess has doubled! fun, fun! I love watching little girls with their babies! They are so precious! As soon as you are on the mend from baby number two, let's get together!

don't worry- soon you'll have a room for her and all that and you can just close the door.

seriously, my house never looks like that! I can't believe what a mess. actually, we have started a little allowance of sorts for Jack. he can earn money to buy his monster trucks and cars by cleaing up his toys, clothes, helping mom around the house, etc. it's working pretty well.

brit...lucky for us we have downstairs where no one goes so we can leave it. your play area is your common area so it is hard to let it stay messy. I always clean the upstairs when she is done playing.
