Well, it has been a busy holiday season. My sister and her family have been in town and I feel like I have been going none stop for awhile. We have been having so much fun with family. For Christmas we went to my parents house in Midway and spent the night. We only live 20 minutes away, but we wanted to have the whole experience of Christmas morning. That night we had a fondue feast with the works. Cheese fondue followed up with chocolate fondue. Very yummy! After dinner we did the traditional Christmas Eve program. My family has done a collection of Christmas stories, and music every Christmas Eve. This year I played the piano, was very rusty. My mom also played and we all read a story. The list includes:
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Little House on the Prairie(the Christmas chapter)
Excerpt from A Christmas Carol
Why Christmas Trees Aren't Prefect
Excerpt from Max Lucado
And the Bible story of Christ's birth
This is Cutout Dave! My mom dressed him up for the holidays!

It was fun to be with family and keep the traditions we have always done. It was the first Christmas in my parents new house. Taylor was asleep for the whole program. We tried to make her last, but we have to listen to her when she is tired.
Christmas morning we woke up and had brunch. We had crepes and the Sutterfield's traditional Christmas morning egg casserole. We usually go out to brunch (before opening presents...can you imagine that as a kid!-it was so hard when we were little!:) but we decided to stay home with the kids. Once again we tried to keep Taylor up to open presents but it was during her morning nap, so she opened 2 toys and was off to sleep. Taylor pretty much missed all of Christmas. But that is okay, she is too young to realize what it going on anyway. We had fun with jack opening presents. The Grandparents spoiled the kids...you did way to much mom and dad...thank you! We love all our gifts.
After cleaning up, we just relaxed until that evening. We then had our traditional Christmas dinner by candlelight. My cousin and her family also joined us. The menu consists of:

Christmas was wonderful and I loved sharing it with my family. We had the chance to talk to my brother Dave who is on his mission in Brazil. It was good to hear from him and we can't wait to celebrate with him next year.

It was delicious! And of course....Taylor slept through the whole thing! The girl is on a schedule!Christmas was wonderful and I loved sharing it with my family. We also made gingerbread houses. Mine kept falling apart...it was a disaster.

WOW! I am so glad that you had a wonderful Christmas, sleeping baby and all. Family traditions are the best and there's nothing like talking to brothers who are on missions. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
P.S. I am all about getting us and Heidi together. Stupid me, I can't seem to find your phone number. Could you email it to me, again? Then we could talk and finalize things. Thanks! Talk to you soon!
Wow, what a good kid. Usually the holidays throw kids completely off their schedule! Looks like fun...and lasagna, I never thought of that for christmas dinner, it sounds great! We just do boring traditional ham:)
Looks like a TON of fun! Too bad Taylor was so sleepy. Next year she'll be a little more into it
