our 4th

Didn't think we would be doing anything since the babies had just come home weeks before. But I didn't want that to stop us from having some family fun. We skipped the whole parade this year and had a BBQ with Dave's new wife, Cate and her family. Which now feels likes our own. It has been fun getting to know them and I, personally, have been very grateful for the support I have felt from them. Since the announcement I was pregnant with twins back in December, Cate's mom, Ruthie has done everything to encourage me how great twins are. She herself had twin girls and always had positive things to say about having them. She has made me feel comfortable about it and has offered up help anyway she can. The minute they heard I had gone into early labor at 29 weeks, the whole family dropped everything and offered up a prayer for us and our 2 little ones. They are those kind of people. I am very grateful to have Cate in our family( who is amazing on her own!), and to have her family feel like apart of ours.

Cate's family had us all over for a 4th celebration and I must say, we will be coming back each year! They live on a golf course and have front row seats to the fireworks. You don't have to fight any crowds and can enjoy a great show. THe food and crew was great! Laid back and easy, which we need! Thanks Todd's for a great night.
